A great place to take some lovely selfies with stunning unobstructed views. We'll then continue towards the heights of the lake, towards the Hermitage Saint Germain, an exceptional viewpoint followed by a unique visit to the Chapel and the Hermitage Cave.
Your journey will continue on sensational mountain roads leading to the legendary Col de la Forclaz, a veritable balcony overlooking the lake and the ideal place to observe the graceful paraglider takeoffs or enjoy a delicious meal while admiring one of the most beautiful sunsets in the region. To end on a high note, a final photo stop in the heart of rich nuances will be essential to offer you unforgettable memories before returning to Thônes. An evening rich in emotions, magnificent panoramas and sensations guaranteed!

*Please wear proper closed-toe shoes (a 15-minute walk is required to reach the paragliding takeoff point). We also recommend long pants and long sleeves. Helmets and safety gloves are provided for all participants. You may bring a picnic or sandwich if you'd like.

Tour Details
We'll depart from Thônes heading toward Alex, making our way to Lake Annecy via the eastern shoreline. You'll quickly get the hang of our quads and enjoy their power on long, straight stretches with smooth curves. The first 10 km take us along scenic roads with speed limits of 70 to 90 km/h, leading to our first must-see stop: the panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard. From here, you'll enjoy a stunning, unobstructed horizon—perfect for capturing your best photos!
Next, we’ll head up into the hills above the lake to reach a hidden gem of the region: the Saint-Germain Hermitage. We'll take a short break to admire the quaint chapel and its breathtaking views over the lake and surrounding mountains. Then, we’ll walk a few meters downhill to visit the Hermitage cave, perched above the lakeshore—another perfect spot for unforgettable shots!
We’ll continue along about 10 km of winding mountain roads—an absolute joy to ride—until we reach the legendary Col de la Forclaz. There, you’ll have access to the iconic paragliding launch site. A 15-minute uphill walk (fairly steep) is required, but your effort will be well rewarded with a jaw-dropping view and the magical sight of paragliders soaring through the sky! From this truly “Place to Be,” you’ll also witness one of the most spectacular sunsets over Lake Annecy.
This exceptional setting is ideal for a longer break to soak in the scenery before we set off on the 20 km return journey to Thônes. The descent kicks off with wide curves and rustic charm—speed and thrills guaranteed!
Just before nightfall, we’ll make one final stop to enjoy a last scenic viewpoint and a magical photo session bathed in shades of orange and soft pink. We’ll then peacefully return to our starting point in Thônes, hearts full of unforgettable memories.
